Unleashed Dynamics.

Why are two luxury sports cars parked in front of robatherm’s building? Precisely: it’s the perfect backdrop for a photoshoot featuring 1200 hp.

robatherm as the venue in Jettingen-Scheppach. A cold Saturday in February. On the company premises: two unaccustomed objects. Although they officially count as vehicles, they are, in fact, motorized alpha figures. The fiery red Lamborghini Huracán Evo – as graceful as a confident Cobra in defensive mode. And the asphalt-grey McLaren 600 LT – as surreal as a space glider found on a galactic movie set. What unites them is their extravagant design, which is almost impossible to resist. Just as unavoidable as acoustic dominance. Anyone with an overly delicate disposition might turn pale at the bellowing sound of the engines. Photographer Maximilian Balacs stays cool, though. As a professional, he understands how such motifs affect people. But then again, what can throw someone off the track who once quit a secure job to pursue his passion? “I love capturing dynamics in photographs and tangibly conveying speed to the beholder.” There’s no more straightforward way to sum up his own drive. In this respect, today’s session isn’t just an assignment for him, but rather is almost something like a mission. ramp magazine, for avant-garde car culture, chose Maximilian Balacs, a master of his trade. And with these sports cars, two high-profile energy bundles.

Unlimited Endorphins

As unique as these street-suited rockets are, their design language speaks in unison: Come on, endorphins need no limits! With a whopping 600 hp each, happiness hormones get to go on a roller coaster ride. More precisely, from 0 to 100 [0-62 mp/h] in three seconds. After that, things really get going: As these magnificent cars reach almost 330 km/h [220 mp/h], they could easily pass an ICE [Germany’s high-speed railway]. At least in theory. However, the focus is less on extreme speed and more on the thrilling impact of extraordinary aesthetics for this event. With professional equipment, full batteries, and empty storage cards, Maximilian Balacs takes to the starting line, setting a dignified scene for these roaring bolides. In the hours that follow, countless images with fascinating perspectives are captured by his camera. This is an excellent opportunity for a spin around the company grounds.

A hellish ride or a gentleman’s dream?

Barely buckled up, and with a light touch to the gas pedal, you’re thrust into the bucket seat as if by an invisible hand. Rarely does physics feel so superb. By the way, it’s not enough that the McLaren’s two rear-end exhaust pipes are so strikingly slanted – they even spit flames. It’s a good thing that this vehicle makes many aspects less important, including bank balances. However, the latter shouldn’t be an issue for owners. All it takes is a light touch to the gas pedal – and Grandma’s allowance for gas is blown. But it doesn’t do so silently, it does it with the fury of an untamed mountain cat. The 12 cylinders transform every drop of Super Plus gasoline into a fiery, loud symphony. The desire for such cars is hard to explain rationally, though it can be explained emotionally. Anyone who then climbs out of one of these flat projectiles does so with weak knees and an electrified grin on their face. Asking themselves, what was that? One hellish ride? A gentleman’s dream come true? As with a photograph, the answer lies in the eye of the beholder. It may feel like maximum insanity on wheels; for others, it’s the most extravagant form of ultimate passion. In any case, they are extraordinary automotive creations. At the latest, it is clear why robatherm building architecture came to the fore for this photoshoot. Maximilian Balacs’ aesthetically dynamic results speak for themselves.
